Guatemala Trip Info

in partnership with Cary Presbyterian Church Guatemala Missions

Thank you for your interest in making a trip to Guatemala with us.

Trips to Guatemala ordinarily happen in October and are eight days, mid-week to mid-week. Tuesday through the following Tuesday, or Wednesday through the following Wednesday. There are two travel days, with flights followed by a 4-hour van ride.

Accommodation is in a 3-star hotel in Quetzaltenango, the second largest city in Guatemala. There are restaurant breakfasts and dinners in the city with lunch in the village. At the end of the trip, we spend a day in the lovely colonial town of Antigua, and return to the airport the next morning.

Occasionally, one other trip in the calendar year may be taken, depending upon the need. This can happen anytime between March and early August.

We go up the mountain daily to the village of Nimasac, the site of our work. There are a LOT of meetings about every aspect of the work currently in progress. Sometimes we have meetings in Xela with other partners, including NGOs (non-governmental organizations working in Guatemala), or staff.

We always have 1-2 translators traveling with us.

We are not confident we will be able to make a trip in 2021. Please contact us via the contact form if you want to be updated. Trip costs are approximately $1,700, all inclusive, for eight days.
